This is an Austrian Waffenfabrik Steyr made M1874 bayonet for the Gras (Fusil Modèle 1874) rifle. It features a "T" back 20-3/8" blade and an overall length of 25.25". The blade is marked "WAFFENFABRIK STEYR" but the date can not be made out and there is a serial number of "28837" between the guard rivets. These bayonets made by Waffenfabrik Steyr in Austria were usually made for export to Greece and manufactured between 1880 and 1886. Overall condition is fair and the still has the unsharpened original edge, there is quite a bit of patina, surface rust and tarnishing on all the parts.
