Civil War Era Colt Model 1860 Army 44 Caliber Revolver - Collectible *1863*

This is a Civil War-era Colt Model 1860 Army revolver chambered in 44 caliber. It features an 8-inch barrel. The cylinder shows a Naval battle scene and all of the numbers are matching. The serial number places the date of manufacture at 1863. The left side grip panel has the "JSD" (John S. Duston) Cartouche which would be in the correct serial number range. Overall condition is good; the bore has nice shine with strong rifling with some a few areas of minor pitting. Mechanically everything works as it should with good timing and strong lockup. Very little of the original bluing remains with most of the metal turning to patina. The wood grips have some dings, nicks and chips. The brass has some tarnishing and there are some spots of surface rust in a few places. This would be a nice choice for anyone who collects antique Colts or Civil War items. Buy online today!
