It features a 26-inch octagonal barrel, 15-round magazine tube, blade front sight, semi buckhorn rear sight, walnut stock, and vintage restored blued finish. Overall, this Colt is in good vintage condition with normal age-related finish wear on the barrel, receiver, and stock. The bore has strong rifling with some pitting. The top barrel flat is marked “COLT’S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. / PATENTED MAY 29. SEPT 18. 83 MAY 26 85. JUNE 18 86. FEB 22.87". The Colt Pony is lightly visible on the left side of the receiver. Based on Colt's serial number database, this rifle was manufactured in 1891. This would be a good choice for collecting.
