This is collectible Colt Lightning Magazine Rifle chambered in 38-56-255. It features a 28-inch octagonal barrel, full length magazine tube, tang aperture sight, brass blade front sight, and straight grip crescent stock. Overall, this Colt is in good vintage condition with normal age-related finish wear throughout the barrel, magazine tube, receiver, and stock. The forend has some cracks and the left side receiver screw appears to be of newer production. The original rear sight has been replaced with an insert. Bore condition is good with some corrosion and strong rifling. Based on Colt's serial lookup, this rifle was manufactured in 1890.
