This is an M5-1 bayonet by Aerial Cutlery Manufacturing Co. for the M1 Garand. It features a 6.5" blade and total length of 11.25, the guard is marked "U.S. M5-1 AERIAL" and the scabbard is marked "U.S.M8A1 / V.P. CO." along with a "VP 47" proof mark. Overall condition of the bayonet is fair, there is quite a bit of wear to the blade finish along with patina and rust to the other metal parts, the edge has been sharpened. The scabbard is also in fair condition with wear to the paint and rusting to the metal, the canvas belt hanger is in decent shape. Buy online today!
