Ruger New Model Blackhawk 357 Max Revolver, Exceptional Condition With Box - Collectible *1983*

PRICE: $1,499.99

This is a scarce Ruger New Model Blackhawk revolver chambered in 357 Maximum. It features a 7.5-inch barrel, glossy blued finish, wood grips, and 6-round cylinder. The serial number indicates this revolver was manufactured in 1983. The Blackhawk chambered in 357 Maximum was only produced from 1982 to 1984 and was developed for use in metallic silhouette shooting. The .357 Maximum cartridge is essentially a .357 Magnum case stretched by .315-inches and capable of pushing a 158-grain bullet at up to 1,825 fps and a 180-grain bullet at 1,550 fps. Due to high pressure and premature "flame cutting," many original guns were returned to Ruger, leading to the discontinuation and scarcity of the model today. Overall condition of this example is exceptional. There is no wear to the bluing and only a very faint turn ring on the cylinder, the front of the cylinder is extremely clean. Included is the original box and manual. The box is in good shape but there is some minor wear. This would be a great addition to any Ruger revolver collection; they don't come much nicer than this.
