Smith & Wesson Military & Police Model of 1905 2nd Change 38 Special Revolver, Exceptional - Collectible *1907*

PRICE: $999.99

This is a Smith & Wesson Military & Police Model of 1905 2nd Change 38 Special revolver. It features a 6.5-inch barrel, blued finish, checkered diamond wood grips, round butt, 5-screw frame, and 6-round cylinder. The "2nd Change" Model of 1905 and the "1st Change" were both manufactured from 1906 to 1909. This particular example was manufactured in 1907, probably in late November or December of that year. While the "1st Change" 1905 was also manufactured during this same time this revolver has the 2-pin extractor star and the patent stamped on the rebound slide indicating it is a "2nd Change". This is an exceptional example of an early Model 1905 revolver with a bright shiny bore and strong rifling. Timing and lockup are fine. The bright bluing on this revolver appears original with minimal wear and minor speckling of surface rust in a few spots. The wood grips are in very nice shape with barely any wear. Most of the wear is located around the grip and bottom of the frame. This would make a great addition to a vintage S&W revolver collection. Buy online today!
