This is a Swedish Mauser Model 1896 (M96) rifle chambered in 6.5x55 and manufactured by Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori. It features a 29.1-inch barrel, blued finish, wood stock, and 5-round internal magazine. The receiver is dated "1917" under the crest and most of the numbers are matching except for the bolt and magazine floorplate. The buttstock has the disk and trajectory plate attached. Overall condition of this rifle is good. The bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling. There is some minor wear to the bluing, the handguard has some cracks on the left side in front of the receiver, and there are some chips in the buttstock near the buttplate.
