It features a 4-inch barrel, parkerized/phosphate finish, 6-round cylinder and lanyard ring. The top of the frame is marked "U.S. PROPERTY G.H.D" which refers to US Army inspector Guy H. Drewry. The serial number dates this revolver to 1944 and all of the numbers are matching except for the grips. The left side of the frame is marked "C D" which could stand for Civil Defense. Some Victory WW2 era Victory revolvers were transferred to local law enforcement or regional Civil Defense units post-war and continued into the 1950s. Overall condition of this revolver is good with a bright shiny bore and strong rifling. Timing and lockup is fine. There is some minor wear to the finish as one would expect from a WW2-era firearm.
