This is an Indian GRI Ishapore Enfield SMLE No.1 Mk III rifle chambered in 303 British. It features a 25.2-inch barrel, blued finish, wood stock, and 10-round box magazine. The receiver is dated "1941" and is marked "GRI" indicating Rifle Factory Ishapore in India. The receiver, barrel, bolt, and nose cap have matching numbers. The stock is an "FTR" (Factory Thorough Repaired) marked replacement. This rifle is in good military surplus condition with a bright shiny bore and strong rifling. There is some wear and patina to the metal. The wood is in decent condition with lots of scuffs, scratches, nicks, dings, and pressure marks. The left side of the stock has about a 4-inch hairline crack below the receiver. There are some electro-penicil markings on the front left side of the receiver.
