Inland M1 Carbine 30 Carbine, Arsenal Rebuild Post-War Italian Contract - Collectible *1944*
This is a WW2 Inland M1 Carbine chambered in 30 Carbine. It features an 18-inch barrel, parkerized finish, bayonet lug, low wood stock, 2-rivet handguard, and 15-round magazine. The serial number indicates this rifle was manufactured between August of 1944 and November of 1945. The left side of the stock is marked "AAV" which refers to Augusta Arsenal where it was most likely rebuilt. The right side of the stock has a sticker on it that suggests that this rifle was probably shipped to Italy after WW2. Between 1950 and 1963, around 150,000 M1 carbines used during WW2 were supplied to Italy as part of military aid program and were used by Italian security forces and police throughout the Cold War. Overall condition of this rifle is good; the bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling. There is some wear to the finish and the wood has some scuffs, dings, nicks, and pressure marks. A complete list of the various marked parts this rifle is shown below. This would make a nice addition to either a WW2 or Cold War firearms collection. Buy online today!
