Ithaca/Colt M1911 A1 USGI 45 ACP Pistol, CMP Pistol - Collectible *1943*

This is a USGI Ithaca/Colt M1911 A1 45 ACP Pistol rebuilt by CMP. It features a 5-inch barrel, parkerized/phosphated finish, Keyes Fibre grips, and an "FJA" (Col. Frank J Atwood) inspector marking. The pistol is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" on the right side of the frame. The barrel has an Israeli contract replacement marked "TZ" on the lug and numbered "7791193". The frame was manufactured by Ithaca and the serial number dates it to 1943. The slide was manufactured by Colt and also dates to 1943. Included is a 7-round magazine marked "L" (M.S. Little Mfg. Co), a Colt subcontractor during WW2. Overall condition is good with a bright shiny bore and strong rifling. There is some minor wear and a few light scratches to the the finish.
