Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903 30-06 Rifle, WW2 Rework With High Standard Barrel - Collectible *1918*
This a Rock Island Arsenal Model 1903 rifle chambered in 30-06. It features a desirable High Standard 24-inch 4-groove barrel dated "7-44"; parkerized finish, early straight "S" stock, and 5-round internal magazine. The serial number indicates this rifle was manufactured in 1918, but was arsenal reworked for service during WW2. Overall condition is good with a bright shiny bore and strong rifling. The metal retains most of the original finish. The wood is in nice original shape with some scuffs, scratches nicks and pressure marks. This would make a nice addition to a WW2 firearms collection.
