Smith & Wesson Hand Ejector US Army Model 1917 45 ACP Revolver with Holster - Collectible *1918*
This is a vintage Smith & Wesson Hand Ejector US Army Model 1917 revolver chambered in 45 ACP. It features a 5.5-inch barrel, blued finish, smooth wood grips, lanyard ring, and 6-round cylinder. The serial number indicates this revolver was manufactured in 1918. The barrel is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" along with an Eagle head proof near the frame. There is another Eagle head stamp on the frame under the crane and a Springfield Armory flaming bomb proof mark on the top left side of the frame. The flaming bomb is found on 1917s ranging from serial number 42,000 until April, 1918. Overall condition of this revolver is very good with a bright shiny bore and strong rifling. The cylinder has good timing and the lockup is solid. There is some light wear and minor patina to the original bluing to be expected on a 100-year-old gun. The hammer and trigger have very nice case coloring. The wood grips are in great shape. The bottom of the right side panel is marked "38FA". Included with this revolver is an M1909 holster made by Graton & Knight and marked "US" on the front and "G&K 1917 A.G" on the back. The holster is in very nice condition with some scuffs and scratches to the leather. The would make a great addition to any WW1 collection. Buy online today!
