Smith & Wesson K-22 Masterpiece 22LR Revolver - Collectible *First Year 1946*

This is a very early Smith & Wesson K-22 Masterpiece (Post-War 3rd Model) Pre-Model 17 revolver chambered in 22 Long Rifle. It features a 6-inch barrel, blued finish, and checkered diamond wood grips. This revolver has a three-digit serial number with "K" prefix and has a date of manufacture of 1946 which dates it to a scarce first year production. The numbers are matching, including the grips. The right side of the frame is marked "MADE IN U.S.A." without the address which would be correct for a Pre-Model 17 made between 1946 and 1948. This early production revover also has the narrow serrated top rib with a slight taper on the barrel serrations. Overall condition of this revolver is very good with an excellent bore, fine timing, and nice lockup. There is some minor wear to the bluing around the muzzle, and light turn ring on the cylinder. The wood grips are in great shape. This would make a fantastic addition to a Smith & Wesson revolver collection. Buy online today!
