This is a Smith & Wesson Military & Police Model of 1905 4th Change 38 Special revolver. It features a 5-inch barrel, blued finish, checkered diamond wood grips, square butt 5-screw frame, and 6-round cylinder. The "4th Change" Model of 1905 was manufactured between 1915 and 1942. Based on the serial number and characteristics, this particular example was probably manufactured sometime between 1925 and 1930. Overall condition is good with a bright shiny bore and strong rifling. Timing and lockup are fine. There is a fair amount of wear to the bluing and the wood grips are well worn, especially on the right side. This would make a nice addition to a vintage S&W revolver collection. Buy online today!
