This is a Smith & Wesson Model 1955 (25-2) revolver chambered in 45 Colt and 45 ACP. It features a 6.5-inch barrel, blued finish, checkered wood target grips, target trigger, target hammer and 6-round cylinder. The serial number indicates that this revolver was manufactured in 1979. The Model 1955 25-2 is capable of shooting both 45 Colt or 45 ACP with the use of moon clips. Overall condition is good with an excellent bore, fine timing, and nice lockup. The wood grips are in near-perfect condition. There is some minor wear to the bluing around the muzzle and a prominent turn ring on the cylinder. It does appear that the side plate has been removed and it feels as though some trigger work has been done. This would make a nice addition to a S&W revolver collection or a good shooter.
