Smith & Wesson Model 544 Texas Wagon Train Commemorative 44-40 Win Revolver - Collectible *1986*
This is a pre-owned Smith & Wesson Model 544 Texas Wagon Train Commemorative 1836 - 1986 revolver chambered in 44-40 Winchester. It features a 5-inch barrel, blued finish, N Target 3-screw frame, target trigger, and target hammer. The right side of the frame is engraved with an image of Texas with a wagon with the dates 1836 and 1986. The barrel is also marked "1836 TEXAS 1986". The Model 544 was manufactured to commemorate Texas's sesquicentennial and a total of 4,782 of these revolvers were released in 1986. The Model 544 was the only Smith & Wesson revolver manufactured in 44-40 Win since 1940. Overall condition is very good with no wear to the bluing and only a faint turn ring. The bore is excellent, timing is fine, and lockup is strong. The wood grips are in great shape with a few light scuffs and scratches. The original wood display box is not included. This would make a great addition to a Smith & Wesson revolver collection or for those who collect commemorative firearms. Buy online today!
