Japanese Arisaka Type 99 Kokura Arsenal 7.7x58 Rifle - Collectible WW2

This is a WW2-era Japanese Arisaka Type 99 rifle chambered in 7.7x58. It features a 26-inch barrel, five-round internal box magazine, wood stock, and was manufactured by Kokura Arsenal. This is a 22nd series rifle and was probably manufactured around 1942 (production records didn't survive the war). The mum (chrysanthemum) has been ground off on this rifle and the bolt number does not match the receiver. The monopod has also been removed, along with the fold-down wings on the rear sight, and one of the screws is missing on the front barrel band. The rifle does have a bright shiny bore with strong rifling and much of the original metal finish remains. The wood is in decent shape with some scuffs, dings, nicks and pressure marks.
