WW2 Springfield Armory M1905 M1 Bayonet With Rare Leather Scabbard - Vintage Bayonet
This is a Springfield Armory WW2 M1905 M1 bayonet with rare shortened leather scabbard. It features a 10" blade and overall length of 14.5", one side of the ricasso is marked "S A" over flaming bomb "1918" and on the other side is marked "US" over "974387" proof mark to the right of it. The bayonet comes with a rarely seen shortened leather scabbard, this was not a common practice and probably makes this a very early conversion. Overall condition of the bayonet is good, there is some wear and patina to the metal, the leather scabbard has some wear, scuffs and scratches but the stitching is good. Buy online today!
